A empresa é acusada de custear detentores de direitos autorais por mais de US$ 500 milhões (R$ 881 milhões) em receitas perdidas de filmes pirateados e outros conteúdos.

O indiciamento foi aberto nesta quinta-feira (19), um dia depois de websites sairem do ar em protesto contra duas propostas do congresso americano destinadas a impedir a pirataria online de filmes com direitos autorais e programas de TV.
